The short answer

Between ₹700 and ₹2,500 a session, depending on who you need.

Home physiotherapy in Bangalore is priced per session, and the therapist’s qualification decides most of the price. An entry-level orthopaedic physiotherapist (BPT) for back pain or a knee replacement charges about ₹700 to ₹1,500 a visit. A neuro physiotherapist with a master’s degree, the person you want after a stroke or for Parkinson’s, charges ₹1,200 to ₹2,500. Geriatric sessions for fall prevention and post-hospital weakness sit in between at ₹1,000 to ₹1,800.

A standard session is 45 minutes. Ten-session packages cost 8 to 12 percent less per session. Home visits cost ₹200 to ₹500 more than a clinic per session, which for most seniors is less than the cab fare and the caregiver’s time to get there and back.

The monthly total depends far more on frequency than on the per-session rate. Stroke rehab at five sessions a week is a different budget from back pain at two a week, which is why the table further down gives a course estimate by condition.

Rule of thumb

  • Ortho or general: ₹700 to ₹1,500 a session
  • Neuro (stroke, Parkinson’s): ₹1,200 to ₹2,500
  • Geriatric and mobility: ₹1,000 to ₹1,800
  • 10-session package: 8 to 12 percent off
  • Home premium over clinic: ₹200 to ₹500

Price table

What physiotherapy at home costs in Bangalore.

Home physiotherapy is priced per session, and the therapist’s qualification moves the price more than the condition does. A neuro physiotherapist with a master’s degree charges roughly double an entry-level orthopaedic therapist.

Typical Bangalore market price ranges, September 2026
ItemTypical Bangalore range
Orthopaedic or general session (BPT)Back pain, knee, post-fracture₹700 to ₹1,500 per session
Neuro session (MPT)Stroke, Parkinson’s, spinal injury₹1,200 to ₹2,500 per session
Geriatric or mobility sessionFall prevention, post-hospital deconditioning₹1,000 to ₹1,800 per session

10-session packageAbout ₹7,000 to ₹9,200 for a mid-range therapist8 to 12 percent below the per-session rate

What moves the price

  • Qualification: an MPT with a neuro specialisation costs more than a BPT, and for stroke or Parkinson’s that difference shows in outcomes
  • Session length: 45 minutes is standard; 60-minute neuro sessions cost more
  • Frequency: daily sessions in the first weeks after a stroke, tapering to two or three a week
  • Equipment: sessions needing a tilt table, TENS or ultrasound carry a small surcharge with some providers

Ranges are what Bangalore providers and rental marketplaces publicly listed as of September 2026 (Samarth Community, Portea, Medifyhome). They are market figures, not EzyHelpers rates. EzyHelpers quotes after a short call once we know the patient, the duration and the address, so the number you get is for your case, not a brochure average.

Course estimates

How many sessions common conditions take, and what the course adds up to.

Packages

Per session or a 10-session package?

  • Per-session suits a short course (under eight sessions) or when you are still deciding whether the therapist is the right fit
  • A 10-session package is priced 8 to 12 percent lower per session and usually locks in the same therapist, which matters for neuro rehab where continuity affects results
  • Ask whether unused sessions in a package are refundable or transferable; most providers allow a pause for hospital admission but not a refund
  • Never prepay a large block before the first two sessions. A good therapist will set goals in session one and you should see a plan by session two

Home or clinic

When the clinic is cheaper, and when it only looks cheaper.

FactorAt homeAt a clinic
Cost per session₹200 to ₹500 higherLower per session
TravelNone; the therapist comes to youCab both ways, often with a caregiver: ₹300 to ₹800 per visit in Bangalore traffic
EquipmentPortable kit: bands, weights, TENS; no parallel bars or gym machinesFull rehab gym
AdherenceHigher; sessions rarely missedMissed sessions are common for patients who cannot travel easily
Best forPost-surgery, stroke, seniors, anyone who cannot get into a car comfortablySports injuries, athletes, late-stage rehab needing equipment

For a senior who needs a caregiver to accompany them, a clinic visit in Bangalore typically costs the session fee plus ₹300 to ₹800 in cabs and two to three hours of someone’s time. The home premium is smaller than that, and the missed-session rate at clinics is what quietly stretches recovery. If the patient also needs a walker or a hospital bed for the recovery period, see equipment rental and home nursing costs.
