Who we are

The EzyHelpers Partner App (the “App”) is published by Aasaan Parijan Private Limited, trading as EzyHelpers, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 with its registered office in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. In this policy “we”, “us” and “EzyHelpers” mean that company, and “you” means a helper, partner or applicant who uses the App.

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, EzyHelpers is the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described here and you are the Data Principal.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the EzyHelpers Partner App used by helpers for registration, onboarding, verification and job matching. If you are a household or customer using our website or booking a helper, read our customer privacy policy and our terms and policies instead.

The App is for adults. You must be 18 years or older to register. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and if we find that we have, we delete it.

Information we collect

Most of this you give us yourself during registration. Some of it is created by our team when we interview, verify or place you. A small amount is collected automatically by the App.

Identity and contact details

  • Full name, date of birth, gender and languages you speak
  • Mobile number (this is your login) and email address, if you give one
  • Current address and home town or native place
  • Emergency contact name and number that you enter yourself
  • Your profile photograph

Work and eligibility information

  • Skills, work experience, previous employers and references you provide
  • Job preferences: live-in or live-out, working hours, preferred localities, expected salary
  • Availability, leave and joining dates
  • Training, interview and assessment records created by our team
  • Placement history and feedback recorded against your profile

Identity and verification documents

  • Government ID that you upload for verification (for example Aadhaar, voter ID, PAN or driving licence)
  • Police verification documents where a household or the law requires them
  • Address proof and, where applicable, medical fitness or vaccination records you choose to share
  • Bank account or UPI details, only where EzyHelpers administers a salary transfer for you

Device, app and technical information

  • Device model, operating system version, app version and device language
  • A device identifier and push notification token so we can send you job alerts
  • Crash reports, error logs and basic usage events (which screens are opened, which features are used)
  • IP address and approximate region derived from it, for security and fraud prevention

Communications with us

  • Messages, support requests and complaints you send us through the app, WhatsApp, SMS or email
  • Notes our coordinators record about calls with you, for placement and grievance handling
  • One-time passwords (OTPs) used to verify your mobile number

Device permissions the App asks for

Android will ask your permission before the App can use any of these. You can refuse, and you can withdraw a permission later from your phone’s Settings. Refusing a permission only stops the feature that needs it; it does not delete your account.

Camera and photos

CAMERA, READ_MEDIA_IMAGES

To let you take or upload your profile photograph and photographs or scans of your identity and verification documents. The app opens the camera only when you tap an upload or capture button. We do not access your photo gallery in the background and we do not scan photographs you have not selected.

Location

ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION, ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION

To show you jobs near where you are, to fill in your serviceable area during onboarding, and to confirm attendance or a visit when a job requires it. Location is read while the app is open and you are using a feature that needs it. If you deny this permission, you can still use the app and enter your locality manually; only distance-based job sorting stops working.

Phone number and SMS

RECEIVE_SMS or SMS Retriever, CALL_PHONE

To verify your mobile number by reading the one-time password sent to you, so you do not have to type it, and to place a call to your EzyHelpers coordinator when you tap a call button. We read only the OTP message sent by EzyHelpers. We do not read, store or upload your other text messages.

Contacts and call log

READ_CONTACTS, READ_CALL_LOG

Where the app requests this, it is used only to let you pick an emergency or reference contact from your phone book instead of typing the number, and to show whether a coordinator call connected. Only the specific contact you select is saved to your profile. We do not upload your whole address book, and we do not use your contacts for marketing or to invite other people.

Notifications

POST_NOTIFICATIONS

To alert you about new job openings, interview times, document requirements and messages from your coordinator. You can turn notifications off in Android settings at any time without losing access to the app.

Storage (documents)

READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / document picker

To let you attach a document that is already saved on your phone. Only the file you pick is read.

How we use your information

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you register, and to perform the placement service you ask us for. Where the law requires us to keep or disclose something, we rely on that legal obligation.

  • To create and verify your helper profile, so households can be confident about who they are hiring
  • To match you with jobs that fit your skills, preferred area, working hours and expected salary
  • To arrange interviews, trials, joining and replacement, and to keep you informed at each step
  • To run background and police verification where a household or the law requires it
  • To administer salary transfer and reconciliation, but only where EzyHelpers has agreed to handle payment for a placement
  • To provide training, assessments and skill certification
  • To send you job alerts and service messages by push notification, SMS, WhatsApp, call or email
  • To provide support, investigate complaints and resolve disputes between you and a household
  • To keep the platform safe: detect duplicate or fraudulent profiles, prevent misuse and protect other users
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities

Who we share it with

Households and families hiring you

Your name, photograph, age, languages, skills, experience, expected salary, general locality and verification status are shown to a household that is considering hiring you. Your full identity documents are not handed over. Your phone number is shared once a placement is confirmed or once you agree to an interview.

Our own staff and field coordinators

EzyHelpers coordinators access your profile to place you, arrange interviews and handle grievances. Access is limited to staff who need it for their work.

Supabase (database and file storage)

Your profile, documents and application records are stored in our Supabase project, which acts as our data processor. Data is held under our account and is not used by Supabase for its own purposes.

Google and Firebase

We use Google services for sign-in and OTP delivery, push notifications, crash reporting and basic app analytics. This means limited technical data such as a device identifier, app version and crash information is processed by Google on our behalf.

Our CRM and business email (Zoho and equivalent tools)

Your enquiry, placement and communication records are also held in our customer relationship system and business email so our team can follow up with you.

Background verification partners

Where a police or background check is needed, the minimum details required for that check are shared with the verifying agency or authority.

Payment and payroll providers

Only where EzyHelpers administers your salary. Bank or UPI details are shared with the payment provider for the sole purpose of making and reconciling that payment.

Legal and regulatory disclosure

We disclose information where we are required to by law, a court order or a lawful request from a government authority, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of a person.

What we never do

  • We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
  • We do not rent or trade your phone number or documents to other agencies, brokers or advertisers.
  • We do not upload your address book, your photo gallery or your text messages.
  • We do not use your data to build advertising profiles or to run third-party ad targeting.
  • We do not charge you, the helper, for a placement, and we never ask for your bank password, PIN or OTP. No EzyHelpers employee will ever ask you for an OTP.

Our data is stored on servers located in India and, for some processors, in other countries. Where data is transferred outside India, we do so only to countries not restricted by the Government of India and under contracts that require the processor to protect it to the same standard as this policy.

How we protect your data

  • All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
  • Documents and photographs are held in access-controlled storage, not in a public folder.
  • Access to helper records is limited to EzyHelpers staff who need it for placement, verification or support.
  • Login is by one-time password to your registered mobile number, so nobody can sign in as you without your phone.
  • We review access, keep our systems updated, and investigate any suspected breach.
  • If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Act, 2023.

No system is perfectly secure. Please keep your phone locked, never share your OTP with anyone, and tell us immediately if you think someone else has used your account.

How long we keep your data

Active profile

Kept for as long as your account is active and you are available for placement.

After you delete your account

Your profile is removed from job matching immediately and your personal data is deleted within 30 days.

Records we must keep

Placement, invoice, payment and tax records are retained for up to 8 years where accounting and tax law requires it, and verification records for as long as needed to answer a safety or legal claim. These are kept restricted and are not used for matching.

Inactive accounts

If you have not used the app and have not been placed for 24 months, we contact you and then delete or anonymise the profile.

Deleting your account and your data

You can ask us to delete your Partner App account and the personal data linked to it at any time. You do not have to give a reason.

  1. 1In the App, open Profile, then Settings, then "Delete my account", and confirm.
  2. 2Or email contact@ezyhelpers.com from your registered email, or WhatsApp or call +91 76196 29005 from your registered mobile number, with the subject or message "Delete my Partner App account".
  3. 3We verify that the request is really from you, usually by an OTP to your registered number.
  4. 4Your profile is withdrawn from job matching straight away, and your personal data, documents and photographs are deleted within 30 days.

We keep only what the law requires us to keep, as set out above. If you want your account paused rather than deleted, tell us and we will mark you unavailable instead, which keeps your profile so you can come back later.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you have the following rights over your data. To use any of them, contact our Grievance Officer below. We acknowledge every request within 48 hours and answer it within 30 days.

Access

Ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and a summary of how it is being used.

Correction and updating

Ask us to correct anything wrong, incomplete or out of date. You can also edit most of your profile inside the app.

Erasure

Ask us to delete your account and your personal data, subject to records we must keep by law.

Withdraw consent

Withdraw a consent you gave earlier, as easily as you gave it. Withdrawal applies going forward and may mean we can no longer place you.

Grievance redressal

Raise a complaint with our Grievance Officer, whose details are given below. You may also complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Nominate

Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

The DPDP Act also places duties on you as a Data Principal: give correct information, do not impersonate anyone else, and do not file false or frivolous complaints.

Contact and grievances

For any question about this policy, or to exercise a right or raise a complaint about how your data has been handled, contact us.
